El Pont Flotant
El Pont Flotant begins its path in Valencia, in 2000. Its work bases on the investigation of new theatre languages, far from the mainstream commercial tendencies.
Marks of their creations are: the experimentation with reality and fiction, the physical training of the actor and his/her relationship with the dramatic space, the audience and the limit of languages. The company is looking for truth in interpretation, for spontaneity.
The starting point of their works are the hic et nunc (here and now), which are those elements that distinguish theatre from other languages. Fiction is also presented, but not hidden: it’s visibly exposed, the rules of the game are shown, just like illusion. And the game that El Pont Flotant engages with the audience, connecting with their personal biography and experience, is: what is theatre and what is real?
